Rhodope Mountains are one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in Bulgaria. Vast meadows with amazing shades of green alternate with dark pine forests, sharp cliffs and picturesque canyons. All of this can be seen mostly by kayak in the Rhodope dams. Sailing kayaks are made in dams of Shiroka Polyana and Beglika, not far from the town of Plovdiv Sailing is suitable for people without experience of any age and any physical training
Day 1: At 7 am we set off from V. Levski Stadium (Sofia) to travel to Shiroka Polyana Dam. Once we arrive, we equip ourselves, listen to instructions for rowing and safety in the dam and enter the beautiful reservoir by boat. We row and enjoy the surrounding landscape. There is an opportunity for lunch in the holiday village “Romantica”. In the late afternoon, we leave for Dospat dam. We set up a camp, light a campfire, and have dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast, we split into crews. We get in the boats and paddle in the Dospat Dam. When we get tired, we stop for a rest on a beach and then continue our journey. After that we have some free time, then we light a campfire and have dinner.
Day 3: After breakfast, we transfer to Big Beglik Dam. Boat tour of one of the most beautiful Rhodope reservoirs. We visit the Chatama eco-settlement. In the afternoon, full of impressions, we load the kayaks and leave for Sofia.
